The Justice Institute Sends Letter to Clark County District Attorney Steven B. Wolfson Informing Him His Office Is Providing Misinformation To the Media and the Nevada Supreme Court Concerning Kirstin Blaise Lobato’s Case

The Justice Institute sent a letter addressed to Clark County District Attorney Steven B. Wolfson informing him that Chief Deputy District Attorney Steven S. Owens had provided misinformation concerning the Kirstin Lobato case to KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Associated Press, and the Nevada Supreme Court. That letter dated July 3, 2012 was received by the District Attorney’s Office on July 6, 2012, and as of August 2, 2012 no reply was received from DA Wolfson. DA Steven Wolfson and Steven S. Owens are public employees of a public agency and Kirstin Lobato’s case is a public prosecution, so the Justice Institute is making the 12-page letter and its 17-pages of 5 attached exhibits publicly available.
